Handwoven natural cane, floor standing, and large enough to be furniture rather than an accessory. The weave is the whole point: light passes through the gaps and throws a pattern onto the wall and floor around it, which is something a solid shade simply cannot do.
At 1100mm tall on a 230mm footprint it is tall enough to read as a feature next to a lounge chair or in a corner that has never quite worked, but narrow enough that it does not eat the floor space. Natural cane sits easily with linen, timber and rattan furniture, and it warms up a room that has gone too grey or too white.
Because the cane is handwoven, the weave varies slightly between pieces. That is the nature of the material rather than a fault. It takes one E27 globe up to 42W, not included. A warm white LED suits it best, and a globe with a visible filament looks good through the weave. Covered by a 1 year replacement guarantee.
